We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at 5:00 am and then take the bus ride to the Inca site called Quillarumiyoc (3650m/11975ft). Here we will stop and visit the Inca remains. Our tour guide will explain us everything about this amazing archaeological site and shows us the temple of the moon and the impressive wall terraces. Then we will continue our ride for another hour all the way to Lima Tambo, where we will get a guided tour through the remains of Tarawasi (2700m/8858ft). Here we will appreciate 12 trapezoidal niches. In Inca times they served to expose mommies from the high society.
After the visit we will follow an unpaved road until we reach the village of Chonta (3450m/11318ft), where our van will stop and wait for us, because from this village we take a walk for 1 and half hours towards a condor lookout.
Along the way we might spot some wild animals like the white tailed deer, falcons, hummingbirds, mice, etc. because this area It is the habitat for these animals. Once arrived at the lookout we will wait for the condors Usually the condors come out between 8:00 and 11:00 am and in the afternoon between 2:00 and 4:00 pm. After we have enjoyed the amazing flight of the condors we return on foot to the village of Chonta, on the same path we came on.
During the hike we will have plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful view and take some awesome pictures of the two spectacular snowcapped mountain peaks of Mount Humantay (5770m/18930ft) and Mount Salkantay (6200m/19840ft).
