4:00 AM – Hotel pick-up in Cusco
Start your journey early with a comfortable private transfer to Ollantaytambo train station.
6:10 AM – Scenic train ride to Aguas Calientes
Ride alongside the Urubamba River, surrounded by snow capped peaks and lush valleys.
8:00 AM – Trek begins at Aguas Calientes
We begin the adventure with a gentle warm-up and a visit to the archaeological site of Chachabamba.
Your entrance tickets, box lunch, and energy snacks are all taken care of.
Mid-morning – Hike the Inca Trail
Climb through cloud forests and ancient stone paths for about 3 hours until we reach the stunning Inca ruins of Wiñay Wayna.
Lunch at Wiñay Wayna – Recharge with lunch surrounded by history and panoramic views.
Afternoon – Final stretch to the Sun Gate
A short final hike brings us to the iconic Sun Gate (Inti Punku), where you’ll catch your first breathtaking view of Machu Picchu.
Sunset arrival at Machu Picchu – Take your time to soak it all in—and snap the perfect photo with soft afternoon light.
Evening – Head to Aguas Calientes
Settle into your 3-star hotel, then enjoy a group dinner with your guide, who will brief you for the next day’s adventure.
Early morning – Wake up for a once-in-a-lifetime moment
Start the day with a hearty breakfast at your hotel before heading to the bus station for a 25-minute ride up the mountain.
6:00 AM – Enter Machu Picchu as the gates open

Afternoon – Return to Cusco
Head back down to Aguas Calientes, where your train will take you to Ollantaytambo, followed by a private transfer back to Cusco.
We offer daily departures from March to January. This tour can be done any day of the week and 11 months a year except in February because the Inca trail is closed. We recommend you to book the Inca Trail at least 5 months in advance because there are only limited spaces available.
