We pick you up from your hotel at 8:00am. Then we head towards the sacred valley by minivan. Our first stop will be Awanacancha where your tour guide explains you about (llamas, alpacas, viñas farm), and the traditional clothes production. Our second stop is at a lookout from where you can see the entire sacred valley of the Incas and the Urubamba River.
Once enjoyed this amazing view we will drive towards the Inca citadel of Pisac. Here you will witness and learn about Incas history and appreciate the stone works, agricultural farming terraces, the big Inca cemetery and much more. After the guided tour we will drive to the center of pisac, where you can visit the traditional craft market. Then we continue to Urubamba where we stop to have lunch. Once enjoyed an organic buffet lunch we continue our ride for 30 minutes to Ollantaytambo. There we will get a guided tour through the impressive Inca fortress. Then we have to go to the train station to catch our train straight to Aguas Calientes, where we will spend the night in 3 stars hotel.
Today is a very important day Remember we will visit one of the 7 wonder of the world, so many people will go there. At 5.00am your guide will pick you up at your hotel. From there you will go to the bus station to take the bus for 25 minutes until the entrance gate of Machu Picchu, the most important Inca citadel. At the entrance you will have to show your original passport and then you will enter the citadel. Usually we will have the chance to see the sunrise above the ruins.
The best spot to enjoy the sunrise is at guardhouse, from where you can take amazing post card pictures. After enjoying the sunrise you will get a guided tour (about 2.30h) through the ruins, walking and exploring all of the famous places of this impressive citadel such as temples, palaces and plazas. After the tour you will have some free time to explore more places by yourself. If you have an entrance tickets for the Huaynapicchu or Machupicchu Mountains you will have time to climb them now.
The ones who will not climb one of those mountains you can visit the Inca Bridge or climb up to the sun gate from where you will have beautiful views. Around 2:30pm you will take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes to enjoy lunch at a restaurant at your choice. Then you will go to the train station to take the train to Olantaytambo. Make sure to be at the train station 30 minutes before the train leaves. At the train station of Ollantaytambo our driver will be waiting for you to take you back to your hotel at Cusco.
