What is the ESNNA Code?

The ESNNA Code of Conduct is a commitment adopted by tourism companies in Peru, promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR), to prevent and combat the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents (ESNNA) in the context of travel and tourism. It promotes ethical behavior, social responsibility and the protection of fundamental human rights.

Tourism companies play a key role in keeping local communities safe. Adhering to the ESNNA Code means taking an active stand against any form of child exploitation and promoting responsible tourism at every level of our operation.

Our commitment

At Machulas Journey we strictly comply with the ESNNA Code of Conduct. We firmly reject any form of sexual exploitation of children and adolescents and we commit to:

Protect the rights and dignity of children and adolescents.
Inform and train our staff, partners and suppliers.
Raise awareness among travelers about this crime and its legal consequences.
Report any suspected case to the competent authorities and cooperate with prevention initiatives.
Operate with transparency, integrity and social responsibility.

The sexual exploitation of children and adolescents is a crime in Peru, punishable by imprisonment, even when committed abroad.
